May 6-12 is Public Service Recognition Week, honoring the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees, day in and day out, with little notice or fanfare.
Dean Grafilo, Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs, kicked off the week with a message to employees thanking them for their commitment to California consumers. “I find myself grateful for the opportunity to thank you for all you do on behalf of our great state of California,” Director Grafilo said. “Each and every day, I have the pleasure of witnessing firsthand your remarkable contributions and achievements.”
Governor Jerry Brown has released a video message celebrating the 226,000 Californian public servants who work in government offices, classrooms, public safety and disaster relief positions, and other public institutions. You can watch the video and read Governor Brown’s proclamation below.
