The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is inviting prospective bidders to submit a proposal to serve as the Enforcement Monitor to the Medical Board of California (MBC). The Enforcement Monitor will provide a comprehensive, independent, unbiased review of the MBC’s enforcement program. The review, evaluation, and monitoring will identify the strengths and weaknesses of current operations and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate. These duties will be performed with oversight from the Director and her designee at the Department of Consumer Affairs. This is part of DCA’s implementation of Senate Bill 806 (Roth, 2021).
