
SACRAMENTO – The Osteopathic Medical Board of California (OMBC) has named Erika Calderon as its executive director, effective November 1, 2022.
Ms. Calderon has served the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) in various roles for more than 12 years during her career. She most recently held the position of Staff Services Manager I over the Consumer Protection Services (CPS) unit at the Physical Therapy Board of California (PTBC). In this role, she has been responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the CPS unit, among additional responsibilities in support of PTBC’s goals, objectives, and mission.
Prior to her work with PTBC, Ms. Calderon held the position of Staff Services Manager I and Associate Government Program Analyst with the Medical Board of California from 2014 to 2022, and Staff Services Analyst with the Veterinary Medical Board from 2010 to 2014. Ms. Calderon also brings years of experience in the private sector and graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources.
