SACRAMENTO – The California State Board of Optometry has named Gregory Pruden as its interim executive officer, effective Friday, November 3, 2022. Mr. Pruden has served as Legislative Manager for the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) since August 2017.
Mr. Pruden was Legislative Coordinator for the Department of Public Health from February 2016 to August 2017. He served as Legislative and Policy Analyst for DCA from April 2012 to February 2016, and as Member Services Coordinator for the Association of California Community College Administrators from April 2011 to April 2012.
Mr. Pruden has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus.
